WOMANHOOD

She flew beyond the skies,
And She flew amongst the stars...
When a small town girl,
Set out with big dreams in her heart...

She put a smile on zillions,
And popped heart of millions...
Kalpana Chawla made the Nation proud,
When She conquered her orbit-dreams...

She is the one who defines WOMANHOOD to me...

She left her home,
And She left her peace...
She traveled to shores,
With her angelic deeds...

A Catholic by religion,
And an Albanian born...
Mother Teresa healed countless of souls,
And gave all aeon of hopes...

She had no grounds to discriminate her deeds…
She is the one who defines WOMANHOOD to me...

She sang from her heart,
And struck a chord with a million…
With divinity in her voice,
She soothed souls innumerable…

For her life meant music,
And She made music our paradise…
Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle are such stalwarts,
Who laid foundation to numerous melody dreams...

They are the one who define WOMANHOOD to me...

Even before we are born,
She knows our heart beats...
She endures our crazy kicks,
And yet nurtures our dreams...

She helps us stand tall,
And picks us up, if ever we fall…
She stands by our side, sturdy as a Tree,
And always dares us to walk free...

It is every Mother who defines WOMANHOOD to me...

She is the Homemaker in a gazillion homes,
And She is the happiness for untold souls...
She puts your needs even before her own,
Yet She demands no more than Respect for her own...

She lays the footing for our values in life,
And She is our support pillar in those difficult times...
She is, Each Lady, Life’s Curator,
She is, for each of us, our Creator…

Every Lady defines WOMANHOOD to me...
